Welcome to the first of what we hope will be a quarterly newsletter from EMCC Ireland. Its purpose is to keep you informed and connected, and foster a spirit of community amongst our membership. As coaches, mentors and supervisors, we all have a key role to play in the future of our society. We do that in different ways, using different strategies and modalities. The community that we belong to here in Ireland is a crucial element to support us in those aims.

In this first issue, we will share with you some of the highlights from 2022, including a series of Hotpot events, August’s Walk In The Park, and the highlight of our year, the Michael Neill Masterclass which took place in June. And we’ll share some of our upcoming plans for the rest of the year and into 2023.

EMCC is a community here in Ireland, we are here to support you, and support each other, and if you have any ideas to help us do that, please let us know.

Highlights of the Year

Michael Neill Masterclass

It’s been a busy year so far! As we’ve moved out of the pandemic we had our first in person event in Trinity College with the fabulous Michael Neill giving everyone a unique coach training opportunity.

For those who were not able to attend this event we have now uploaded a number of videos to our website from the 2-day training event. They are available HERE and are categorised in bite size chunks to make it easier to dip in and out as you have time.

Our Hot Pots continued virtually until last month when we held an amazing ‘Reflective Practice’ event with Pamela Fay in person at UCD Smurfit Business School. We also had our first ever Walk in the Park event in the Phoenix Park.

We’ve welcomed a lot of new members to our community and our membership numbers are now at 494.

Our vision is to be the ‘go to’ body in mentoring, coaching, and supervision in Ireland. As a membership community we could not do this without the support and involvement of all of our members. So thank you to everyone who has attended or dialled into an event this year.

Whats coming up

Our hot pots are continuing for the rest of this year and into 2023.

Our next one is coming on 20th October and we have great guest speakers lined up for November and December as well.

We are also planning an informal social event for December, and hope to see as many of you as possible there.

There’s lots of exciting events in the works for next year including a unique opportunity to train with the Team Coaching guru David Clutterbuck.

We’re also planning another ‘Walk in the Park’ event in February.
